3/23/2013: Day 3

Today was much smoother (after a little “incident” with the Cheerios and milk at breakfast)!  The girls and I spent the majority of the day unpacking and organizing.  The kitchen was our major goal today.  I saw this great idea on HGTV  to use mason jars to store things in.  This is not a new idea because I remember women in my family doing this.  I just needed to be reminded of it I guess!  Anyways,
it turned out to be much cheaper than buying plastic containers to store everything in and it looks much cooler :).

Mason Jars and plastic containers.

I am now obsessed with mason jars!  For anyone      interested, I ordered the labels from www.etsy.com :). Now we have to be creative in how to fit everything in these cabinets.

Taking a lunch break after all that unpacking.
Though the day started off rainy with pantry organizing…it ended sunny and warm!  We were able to go outside and play today and it. felt. good.  Emma and Sarah did some good, old fashioned bubble blowing….

…and we all walked to the playground for some much needed playtime!

Even our bichon puppy, Bitsy, got in on the action! I think she needed it just as much as we did.

The dirt here is more orange than brown so she had her a nice little orange goatee and paws from all the digging 🙂

So thankful for the blessings of The Lord and this beautiful day.  It’s amazing what a little fresh air and sunshine can do!
