Today we visited our first church, Macedonia Baptist Church. We were a little late (I guess we brought our bad habits with us) but enjoyed the service. The people were very welcoming. The associate pastor and his family are also transplants to this area. His wife gave me her cell phone number and invited us to a MOPS (moms of preschoolers) group she goes to. She also said there are other homeschool families in the church and she has several friends that homeschool as well. So thankful for the opportunities God is putting before us :). After church we came home for a quick lunch. We used the gas oven (first time I’ve ever baked in a gas oven) and loved it. Those were the best fish sticks I think I’ve ever had! The girls and I threw some things together in a bag and loaded up for our trip to VA. There’s something so liberating about a road trip with just the gals :). The trip went well but it sure would be nice to have a port-a-potty in the van. These girls must have very small bladders! I understand now why my dad never wanted to stop for bathroom breaks on a trip! It can really delay things, to say the least. Of course, we HAD to stop at Dunkin Donuts in Asheville, NC!
