8/3/2013: Day 135

We have officially broken over into the “way cool” realm of the camping world.

Tonight Andrew rigged up his new projector to our computer (not technically new…was a Christmas present and he’s just now using it for the first time), hung up a white shower curtain on the side of the camper, pulled up all of our camping chairs plus picnic table, and Voila!  Outdoor theater.  It was awesome!  Our neighbor said he was going to sit in his golf cart and watch so it would be like the drive in.   Great times.

Cute movie.

The picture quality wasn’t the best.  Apologies.  I still haven’t figured out the secret to shooting good night photos.  We even had homemade popcorn.  If you want to make a good memory with your kids, pop corn the old fashioned way, on the stove top (be sure to use a glass lid on your pot so you can watch it).  They’ll love it.

After the day we had, we really needed a good ending.  You remember that unorganized, junked up homeschool mess I blogged about a of couple days ago?  Well, we jumped right in with both feet today and showed it who was boss.  I’ve got a few finishing touches and we are finito.  I’m in this wacky mood to throw out random foreign words.  Stay with me.  I can’t get too crazy with it because I only know a few (unless it’s double Chinese and then you’d be in trouble).  🙂

We’ve had two great evenings this week.  Last night we took the girls to a planetarium at a local college for a “Stars Over Georgia” presentation.  It was amazing.  If you’ve never been to a planetarium, I would highly recommend putting it on your “bucket list.”

Talk about being wonder struck…if that doesn’t cause you to be in awe of the Creator there isn’t much that will.  It brought to mind Psalm 147: 4, “He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.”  There’s an estimated 300,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. That’s 300 sextillion (didn’t even know there was such a number).

And He’s given them all names.  Amazing.

I’ll let you ponder on that one.

Beunas noches (and I had to google that).
